Candidate will be located at the Kairos Corporate Office with the option to work remotely as needed.
Candidate will possess a high-level understanding of scheduling fundamentals and their application within the Microsoft Project scheduling tool. Candidate must be skilled in both written and oral communications and be comfortable working in a group setting often consisting of multiple stakeholders with varying levels of experience and authority. Candidate should possess an intermediate level of familiarization with one or more of the following: Hardware Development, System Engineering, Software Development, and Project Management Lifecycles.

This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.
Compensation:
While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.

Primary Duties:
- Development/maintenance of multiple project schedules to include:
- Integration of multiple project schedules including vendor schedules into a single master schedule
- Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development
- Critical Path/Near Critical Path analysis
- Perform schedule variance analysis, generate reports using industry standard schedule metrics
- Evaluate schedule progress against plan
- Lead schedule development and status update meetings with required stakeholders
- Maintain record of scope changes and schedule deviations
- Analyze schedule change orders for impacts
- Resource Loading/Leveling of schedules
- Develop schedule progress, metrics reports and trend charts
- Integrated Master Plan (IMP) development
- Performs other related analyst/management activities required for successful completion of required tasks
- Demonstrated ability to perform functional duties independently
- Experience using Microsoft Project in a role and environment comparable to being a scheduler at NAVAIR.
- Experience with schedule development and maintenance using Microsoft Project including activities such as:
- Adding tasks/milestones and maintaining associated task/milestone information including duration, constraints, custom fields, and notes.
- Adding and maintaining schedule elements that network tasks together including predecessors/successors, lead/lags.
- Identifying and isolating for analysis & reporting early dates, late dates, free float, total float, driving paths and critical paths.
- Establishing schedule baselines.
- Statusing tasks and schedules using the remaining duration method.
- Calculating and analyzing metrics that indicate the health and integrity of schedule construction, then taking action to improve the health of the schedule.
- Experience with software used to develop summary schedules such as One Pager Pro.
- Experience guiding a team through the schedule development process resulting in a baselined Integrated Master Schedule.
- Experience developing and implementing basic scheduling process such as planning, statusing, reporting, and change control.
- Experience contributing to development of Work Breakdown Structures, Integrated Master Plans and other project documents that serve as the foundation of planning.
- Exposure to projects involving engineering, test and evaluation, software development, acquisition, procurement, or logistics.
- A basic knowledge and understanding of the NAVAIR organization and the acquisition process.
- Strong customer relations, analytics, documentation skills
- Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality
- Microsoft office suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and meet competing, deliverable deadlines
- Detail oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues
- Ability to adapt to evolving technology
- Bachelor's degree in business discipline, preferred
- In lieu of a degree, years of applicable experience may be substituted.
- Three (3) to nine (9) years of experience developing/maintaining project schedules. At least two of those years must be in project or program analysis of complex systems in the DoD (Department of the Navy (DON) preferred) acquisition environment.
- DAU Level II Certification or equivalent – Program Management or Business, preferred
- PMI-SP, Microsoft Scheduling Certificate or PMP, preferred
- Earned Value Management training and/or experience, preferred
- OnePager Pro proficiency or experience, preferred
- Project Management Office (PMO) experience, preferred
