This position will have demonstrated knowledge in the area of electrical engineering expertise and will support engineering tasks related to digital equipment, RF systems, and software development. This position requires demonstrated engineering expertise and will apply and integrate engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems. This position predominantly performs tasks under the guidance and supervision of senior engineers and managers.
Primary Duties:
This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.
Compensation:
While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $105,000 annually. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.

Primary Duties:
- Apply engineering principles to support the design, development, and evaluation of military C5ISR systems.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including engineering analyses, reports, and change proposals.
- Lead or assist in executing complex engineering tasks related to the installation, testing, and evaluation of military systems and subsystems.
- Support system integration, configuration management, and quality assurance testing.
- Contribute to software and hardware development aligned with system requirements.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to lead the execution of complex tasks, when applicable.
- Ability to apply and integrate engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military C5ISR systems.
- Ability to review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
- Ability to analyze designs, develop, implement, test, or evaluate software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military C5ISR systems and associated support systems or management information systems.
- Experience with cable block diagrams, cable run sheets, and cable fabrication drawings.
- Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using MATLAB.
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet competing deliverable deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status to the team and/or customer.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technology and/or business processes and practices.
- Experience analyzing RF beam patterns and antenna test data using MATLAB. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with RF system performance metrics and antenna characterization techniques. (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; engineering master’s degree preferred.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Of the minimum five years of experience, at least two of those years must be in engineering of Combat Identification (CID) systems (i.e., systems used in the process of accurately identifying objects in a combat environment to make real-time tactical decisions).
