KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Information Security Analyst, Senior, to join our team. This position will require fully onsite work at NAS Pax River located in St. Mary’s County, MD. This position is contingent upon contract award.

This position will perform information security analysis and support required for Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment. The candidate will plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information.
Primary Duties:
Education and Experience:
This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
Compensation:
While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $115,000 to $140,000. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.

Primary Duties:
- Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.
- Respond to computer security breaches and viruses.
- Help ensure system compliance with Federal and DoD regulations, and best practices.
- Strong customer relations, analytics, documentation skills
- Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality
- Microsoft office suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and meet competing, deliverable deadlines
- Detail oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues
- Ability to adapt to evolving technology
- Demonstrated work experience in the Information Technology Field (Desired)
- Advanced knowledge of DOD RMF (Desired)
- Advanced knowledge of DOD cybersecurity policy or technical cybersecurity solutions (Desired)
- Knowledge of USSTRATCOM or NC3 cybersecurity methodologies (Desired)
- Experience with CISCO routers and switches (Desired)
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems (Desired)
Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree in a technical discipline
- In lieu of a Master's degree a Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the job description.
- In lieu of a Bachelor's degree an Associates Degree may be substituted plus four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the job description.
- In lieu of an Associates degree six (6) years additional work experience performing duties described in the job description may be substituted.
- IAM Level 3 Certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of filling the position.
- Over 10 years of combined experience performing essential job functions: RMF process, assessing vulnerabilities, implementing risk mitigation strategies
