KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Junior Logistics and Sustainment Analyst, to join our team. This position is Contingent upon contract award. This position is onsite in San Diego, California.

Candidate will perform Logistics & Sustainment activities to support the life cycle of platforms, programs or portfolios.  The candidate will be responsible for analysis, identification, planning, monitoring, and solutioning. Candidate will interface with contractors and government representatives in order to coordinate and complete project processes from requirements through disposal.

Primary Duties:
  • Understands the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments.
  • Understands Logistics and Sustainment systems.  Ability to map functionality, input/output requirements, and provides recommendations on how to incorporate data into decision making.
  • Logisticians are responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance.
  • Assists in the development, analysis and review of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plans.
  •  Prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support, and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned workforce is properly trained and equipped.
  • Develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and equipment
  • Assists in the development, execution, analysis and review implementation of Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP)
  • Provides material analysis and recommendations in the areas of high demand, low density, acquisition approach, delivery, level of repair, inventory management, configuration management, and obsolescence tracking.
  • Provides recommendations for sustainment supply support to ensure all assets and inventories are properly stocked and available for applicable use.
  • Understands, Reviews and provides input into Master Equipment Lists (MEL), Bill of Material (BOM) and risks register.  
  • Coordinates with all functional leads to include engineering, supply, program management, acquisition and finance to ensure configuration management is current
  • Provides supply chain support and risk management to ensure risks are monitored, resolved, or mitigated and accepted to maintain supply-chain efficiency, and minimize costs.
  • Attend meetings and reviews in person, as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with Navy and USMC Logistics and Sustainment practices and policies.
  • Experience with DoD Logistics and sustainment practices and policies.
  • Familiar with DoD supply chain and material management processes
  • Strong Skills in Microsoft office Suite to include Excel, SharePoint, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analysis, commensurate written documentation and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to execute with accuracy, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to Gov’t inventory locations.
  • Strong customer relations, analytics, documentation skills

Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Zero (0) to Three (3) or more years of related experience.
Clearance: 
This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.

Compensation:
While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is  $55,000 to $75,000. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.
